Hotel of the Olympic center “Ventspils”: Olympic center hotel
Hotel is located just nearby sport centre, with a stadium and other stuff for sportsmen. We stayed at hotel for one night, it was clean, had all main facilities as private bath room, TV (a bit broken), convenient beds.
Hotel is in quite silent place, but is central part of Ventspils, probably about 10-15 minutes walk to old town.
The room for 3 persons was about 50 euros. Breakfast included.

Seaside Camping: Piejuras Kempings - Seaside Camping
We hired a chalet, with bathroom and small kitchen, on this campsite that has plenty of room for tents, caravans and motorhomes as well.
Well tended grassy areas amongst pine trees and just over a few sand dunes to a marvellous sandy beach.
A summer bar sells drinks and light snacks and there is a large supermarket a couple of hundred metres away, so self-catering for most of our stay.
A fair walk from the town centre so your own transport is a good idea.
