Travel Tips for Ventspils

Cows around! :)

by Raimix

Seven cows standing in the central part of Ventspils is a remnant from Cows Parade 2002; here was International Art and Patronage project with 26 cows at all.

The project, I should say, was successful, as now such a group of cows is a great attraction for town’ locals and visitors.

The Mole

by LanaFromRiga

Return to mole and lighthouse. The western mole is fitted for tourist use. There are airing trail and benches. The mole is near the Ventspils’s beach. It's very fantastic place where the energy of the sea is feeling.

Digital exhibitions

by LanaFromRiga

A digital exhibition tells you about the history of Ventspils as well as the history of the castle and the port. Livonian order castle is notable for its modern interior that harmonises with the historical environment.

Poor Street

by LanaFromRiga

“Nabagu iela” translation is “The Street of poor”. Probably in the end of XIX there were many poor people, but now the street is in the business centre of Ventspils where money cases are. This situation with names of streets or places I call “The irony of history”.

Skating Park

by LanaFromRiga

Here, in area of 5200 square metres with high quality covering, about 20 elements with different configuration, both for professionals and amateurs are set up.
