Hotel Schlosswald: A bit outside Vaduz, but with great view

by Henrik_rrb

Hotels in Liechtenstein are quite few, and fairly expensive, so when we ran into Hotel Schlosswald during a search on the internet we took it immediately.
It's a bit outside the actual city Vaduz, actually in nearby Triesen, but the price is very nice, and the hotel is even better.

We had a huge triple room, with a very big bathroom, and with a perfect view over the mountains. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Including minibar and a smaller television and two large windows that we could open to let the fresh Alps-air come in.

The service was splendid, the owner gave us coffe for free in the morning, called a taxi for us whenever we needed, and had no problem to let us check out a bit later when one of the guys were a bit too hungover to be able to move in the morning...

Located about 7-8 minutes taxi drive from Vaduz, also reachable very easily by bus going by directly outside the hotel.

Only problem is if you, like us, are going back to Zürich. Then you'll first have to go back east, into Vaduz to grab a bus there, and from there go back west, almost passing the hotel, on the way to Sargans and Zürich.

The hotel also have a nice bar, and if the weather is nice it has a very well looking garden where one can sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Reception closed in the night, but no problem to get in with the night key. At least not if you don't do us as we did, miss the huge sign with "N I G H T E N T R A N C E" written all over the door...

Oh well, I've bee more sober in my life than I was in that moment... :)

Hotel Real: Central Location

by sswagner

This nice hotel is in the pedestrian zone of central Vaduz. It is close to the Vaduz Post bus stop and the post office. A short walk leads to the path up to the castle. Despite being in the center of the town, the place feels quiet. The balconies overlook the street below and the views to the mountains of Eastern Switzerland are nice.

The owners are very nice and were helpful with my questions about the area. They always had a genuine smile. The hotel is associated with a very fine restaurant. The breakfast for the guests is very good. The lobby and the breakfast room are very nice. I found the rooms to be comfortable and very clean. The room was a nice place to come back to after a long day of touring the region.

I would recommend the Hotel Real to anyone wanting to spend some time in Leichtenstein.

The balcony view was great. See my sunset view taken from it.

Hotel Residence: Vaduz hotel

by anytimeanywhere

This is a 4-star, full service hotel, on Stadtle, the main pedestrian street in downtown Vaduz, directly under the imposing Scholss Vaduz. It is a very new and modern hotel featuring flat screen TV's, sat. channels, in-room internet access, heated bathroom floors, and a very central location to anything in Liechtenstein, as it is a less than 5 minute walk to the main bus stop, Vaduz Post. I was very impressed with this hotel. The room even smelled new. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with requests. I was arriving early in the morning and had alerted th hotel to this fact. When i arrived in the lobby at 10AM, to try to check in (understanding that I may not be able to), before I said anything, the front desk staff called me by name and said that the room was ready. I was floored, they knew I was coming early and made sure my room was ready, and called me by name before I introduced myself. Outstanding!

Landhaus Prasch: A Pit Stop

by Tea4Two

The rooms are clean and of a reasonable size and standard. The owners are pleasant people who live on the ground floor.

It has a swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool and all rooms can see the royal castle.
