Birstonasta: Silent cozy place

Private guest house is located in silent street nearby Birstonas central area and forest. We were greeted by middle age man, who spoke just a bit Lithuanian, mostly English. The owner of place is Greek origin; living in Lithuania was a few years.

We took a lux double room. It is big enough, with bath room as well. Other, cheaper rooms are not so much different, just smaller ones. It is possible to use shared kitshen, outside there is parking place. Price for a lux room in not a high season was 100 litas (~29 euros).

Druskupis: Druskupis hotel in Birstonas

Entertainment and recreation complex 'Druskupis' is located in the park area of the Birstonas health resort famous for its quiet and wonderful nature. Nearby there is the River Nemunas with a nicely arranged embankment. Druskupis serves as restaurant and as hotel with excellent interior (de luxe double rooms). I guess it's quite expensive, but there are some cheaper places to stay. You can always rent a room in sanatoriums/spas or in some guesthouses.
