Helveda: Helveda

Helveda guest house is located in very central J. Janonis square. It offers a few rooms with most of usual facilities you need. There are rooms with bath and separate ones. Room (for two persons) price was 120 Lt (about 35 euros), if you take with non – separate bath, it is about 100 Lt (41 euros).

Place is only few steps from Catholic church, castle. There is a big parking place outside guest house.

Hotel Tyla: Nice setting, awesome service

It's the only game in town. Set beside a marsh just outside of town, Tyla is a wonderful, restful place. They speak English perfectly. The flags on the front desk represent the nationalities of the various guests staying there. Service was top-notch...when we couldn't get a taxi to the bus station, the manager on duty drove us himself. Breakfast is provided, and the places were ready even though we got down there 15 minutes early.

The view of the marsh is excellent and the view from my room was of farms as far as the eye can see, plus a crane's nest.
