I have found this small hotel, an old monastery next to ... many churches, Gate of Dawn, as a pleasant and quite place in the centre and very very close to the bus and railway stations. Also may supermarkets and a local market for local people, no tourist feel, are located just outside the Gate.
This hotel is across from the railway station in Vilnius, also bus station. Comfortable room at a good price. The hotel is called Panorama and as lovely view from the back.

Found this Guest house quite by chance on the internet, what a little gem! About 10-15 mins from Kaunus town centre by local bus (no 56) situated at the edge of a small peaceful village lies this 6 bedroom guest house. Very clean, even if a little old fashioned by western standards, and the food is fantastic, breakfasts consisted of Day1, cereals, ham, cheeses, tomatoes, salad leaves, toast , jam, cheese pancakes, yoghurts, tea coffee and juice, Day 2, cereal, different cheeses, ham, cucumber, tomatoes, toast jam, hot banana fritters with dressing and all drinks, Day 3 all above but hot dish was fried eggs, ham , tomatoes and corgettes!!!! Fantastic start to anyones day. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts Danute and Jurgis really helpful English speaking people, who will organise anything for you from a taxi into town to a day in the capital city Vilnius. They also do a transfer service from the airport for approx £6 each way

An old 17th century Inn (don't worry it was refurbished in late 1990's), set in the Old Town this is a beautiful little boutique hotel on a cobbled street.
Tastfully done rooms and a secure car park.
Within a 300 metre walk (max) you have all the places you would wish to visit.

Its best hotel in Vilnius i think.
Best Western Hotel Naujasis Vilnius is situated on the right side of the river Neris, the area now called new Vilnius Business Centre.
Completely renovated Best Western Naujasis Vilnius Hotel offers 114 cosy and stylish rooms, including four luxury rooms and one apartment with private sauna. The price also includes solid breakfast buffet. During morning hours you can appreciate our exercise facility for free with exercise equipment, and swimming pool.

its best hotel in Klaipeda. there r good service, atmoshere. but this hotel is expensive.
there r pool, garden, banquet hall, conference hall, sauna, restaurant n caffee.

I liked Filaretai Youth Hostel for many reasons - an affordable price ( 30 litas per night), nice staff, a nice mix of people ( Lithuanians, Poles, Brits, Americans, French, Germans, Scandinavians, Asians, et.c.), the location in a trendy Uzupis district with quaint restaurants and cafes springing up in old, dilapidated houses.
Nice and helpful staff, access to internet, pretty close to the Old Town, affordable prices and international crowd.
Q: Road from Trakai to Poland "How would somebody describe a road Trakai – Alytaus – Lazdiai – Augustow (Poland). If do it, than via Dirvoniskes or not? I am..."
A: "hi It depends what you want. If you are just driving then it's ordinary road, going mostly through forest, fields and small villages. Road quality is quite o.k. If you..."
