Centro Kubas: Favorite Vilnius Hotel

The Centro Kubas is without doubt one of the nicest hotels I know. Of all business hotels I have been to this one is the most agreeable. Large Spacious rooms and a really nice small scale friendliness and atmosphere. If you are into big hotels do not stay here!

Some really bad campgrounds

Near the seacoast there are many campgrounds with very poor facilities. Some of them look more like concentration camps than campgrounds, but you can also find some with working toilets and showers.

Perkuno Namas: Good Hotel in Kaunas

I'm stay only one night in this good quality , four stars hotel in Kaunas.

Hotel is located in the beautiful part of the City. Near to the Old town and center of the City. Quiet area,SPA, garden and good quality service.

Algis Guesthouse: Nice private apartment accommodations

We found this place on the internet prior to our stay. I would definitely check them out if you're planning a few days in Vilnius. The owner, Algis, operates several guestrooms conveniently located throughout the old city. Our place looked a little sketchy from the outside, but once inside it was very comfortable and spacious and a very good value.

Palanga Campground: Campground near Palanga

A few kilometers north of Klaipeda is the town of Palanga. South of it are several campgrounds. We stopped at the first we saw. It was quite cheap (3.50 €) but not very clean. Showers and washbasin were open air so that everyone could watch you brushing your teeth or even showering. Toilets were without water and it smelled offensive. I tried to avoid using them.

Unfortunately heavy rain set in in the evening and we couldn't go swimming in the Baltic Sea, which is only 100m away from the campground.

Vilnius Campground: Campground near Vilnius

South of Vilnius we found a very clean and comfortable campground located on a lake. Price of about five Euro included electrcity, showers, kitchen and access to the beach.
A few minutes before sunset you can see the castle of Trakai illuminated in a red note.
