ATV, Jet skiing and horse backriding on the beach
My wife and I are currently looking for more extreme activites to do in palanga and are having trouble finding places that will let you rent jet skis, ATVs (four wheel motor vehicles) and horseback riding on the beach. Anyone know who we can contact for this?

you can do different kind of water sports in Palanga...it is 25km from Klaipeda, you can do horseriding in Palanga too..four weelers....yes, but i wouldn't be able to tell you were...i have seen it in Palanga too...woter sports is near the baywatch main station, you will find fourweelers there twoo...if you go to info centre they will tell you where to find hourses...it is about 5km from Palanga...have fun...

What to take with you
It's not always hot and sunny in the summer time. So, it would be wise to take a sweater or a jacket with you, as it can be cold in the evenings or it might rain during all day. Don't forget to take your photo camera. The sunsets are just wonderful here, as well as some other touristic spots.
Sculpture "Egle,the queen of grass-snakes"
This sculpture is made in 1960 by Lithuanian sculptor Robertas Antinis.This is one of most visited sculptures and almost every family in Lithuania have the picture of their children near this sculpture.
Egle and Grass-snake are the main characters in one of oldest Lithuanian fairy-tale.
Palanga summer
"Basanaviciaus Street"
Palanger is a popular Lithuanian resort city (25km from Klaipeda) and is know for its white sand bead which are full of sun-bathers in summer. This street is a main one with a lot of restaurants and cafes on both sides. If you walk towards the sea, you come to a bridge and you see the nice beach. The bridge is also a good fishing spot and you see a lot of "fishers".
"Palanga beach"
The white sand is soft and beautiful. The sea water can sometimes a bit cold but you get used to it. Its a free beach for everyone. There are no special mattresses or chairs which you might have to pay and the beach is open for public. You can being there all day!
I like this wild beach area near Palanga. The shining sea and the blue sky give one a very open and free feeling. Its a nice area to walk or jog.
