the worst hotel in Vilnius.MIKOTEL

Mikotel is the worst hotel i`ve ever been in. They stole my creditcard, mobile and my passport. They even charge you for the night you been paying if you don`t ask for the reciep. Me and my friend had to pay 160 litas the next morning before they would let us out. The service is bad and the personel in the reception are full of lies and cheaters. Never, ever enter your feet inside this hotel.

Unique Quality: Located near by the railway station and the street outside Mikotel are full of criminals and prostitutes waiting to rob tourists coming out of the hotel.

Vilnius`s worst hotel ! MIKOTEL!

Mikotel is simply the worst hotel in Vilnius. If you don`t ask for the reciep after paying for a night in advance, they will tell you to pay them one more time the next morning . This happened to me and my friend at MikotelMy son got sick under the stay at this hotel and i asked if it was possible to get food delivery to room. The answer was from the dark haired girl in the reception, that such a company does not exist in Vilnius! Only after buying vilnius guide magazine, i was able to order some food to my leukemi sick son that stayed with me at the hotel. Further bad things about this place is that the personel there are full of lies, lazy and untrustful. My friend got stolen both his mobilephone, passport and creditcard after the "the room cleaner" had been there. When we complained to the reception, two bulldozers of security personel came from the lobby and asked us with angry tone if there were any PROBLEMS??!!! So my conclusion of Mikotel is that it is a criminal hotel run by criminals who steals from their guests. I will never, ever set my foot inside this terrible hotel again.

Unique Quality: Located near the trainstation so the street outside is dangerous and full of junkie prostitutes and criminals who are waiting for tourists coming out of the hotel

Friendly

The Mikotel looks like a modernised town house and is not far from the main train station and bus station. The street is nothing special to look at, but it's convenient for travelling - you don't have to stagger round for hours with a lot of luggage - and it's quiet.
Inside is very clean and fresh - it looks as if it's been done up fairly recently. The kitchen are for breakfast in the mornings is quite basice but perfectly adequate and the breakfast is fine - it's all you need in the mornings anyway.
It's quite a long walk to the shops or places to visit in Vilius but if you enjoy walking its nice and and if you don't, there are buses and trams (which I didn't use because I love to walk).
The most important reason for this recommendation from me is the staff - they were very welcoming and friendly, helpful and considerate, etc. That for me is a major consideration.
