The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from old town and around 15-20 minute walk from the bus station. To get there from the old town, you have to walk down relatively deserted streets, I'm not sure if I would have felt comfortable walking there by myself late at night but with my husband I had no problem.
The hotel is only a few years old so the rooms are in very good shape with modern fixtures. The room we had was very spacious. The beds were twin beds and not as comfortable as I'd thought they would be.
Breakfast was included, there was fruit, cereal, pastries, juice and your choice of an omelet, pancakes (actually crepes) or eggs. I had a banana crepe every morning drizzled with chocolate :-)
The hotel didn't appear to be very crowded, there were very few people in the breakfast room.
One morning we looked out the window and saw the van for Presidential candidate Petras Austrevicius and then looked around the breakfast room and saw him sitting on the couch, I think he may have been running his campaign out of the hotel. Sorry Petras, but we are rooting for Val Adamkus, a former Chicagoan.
