Superbly located in the heart of the Old Town, the Radisson SAS Astorija Hotel in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, is a jewel of a hotel. The hotel was originally built in 1901 and was completely renovated in 1998.
Unique Quality: The hotel is within walking distance of main tourist attractions, shopping centres and the business district.
All 120 rooms have a classic décor and are fully equipped with high-quality amenities expected of a high class hotel.
Free Broadband including high-speed and wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.
The Brasserie Astorija serves modern international cuisine, while the Astorija Bar is the ideal place to take a break.

A bit overpriced
Compare to over same class hotels in Vilnius Radisson is a bit overpriced. Stuff is good but didn't enjoy food very much, not the tastiest one and i think too expensive
Unique Quality: Well, it's located in the heart of old town, it's all nice around and good view from rooms. Rooms are nice and spaceious.
It's a bit tricky to get to new building, at first you have to use one elevator, later go to correct direction and find another elevator :)

my first trip
Only stayed once, in 93 or 94, before renovation and before Radisson.
It was grim, but about the best around.
I remember the "typical" cheap Soviet plastic toilet seat, and an equally bizarre Soviet plastic radio...
Always liked SAS hotels, so I'm sure its great now.

Perfect Location
I stayed here over Christmas & New Year, perfect location as it is situated right in the heart of the old town. Everything is within walking distance & surrounded with wonderful architecture.
Unique Quality: Simply it's location is enough.

I expected more luxury, but still OK
I was here a weekend jan-06 with my girlfriend.
It is not a typical SAS-hotel. It is an building. But despite the facade, it was not that grandious that I had expected. I have no complaints, but when it is Vilnius' most expensive hotel I guess I was a bit disappointed.
The room was small and with no view. But the bed was great - large and very soft. The bathroom was quite modern and good.
I recommend to use the stairs. They where the most grandious inside the hotel. Very large.
The breakfast was at good standard, with a very, very good bread.
Unique Quality: A very good bed, great stairs and a very nice bread. Everything else was OK.

For business
This beautiful, classic turn-of-century building on my picture housed one of more expensive hotel in Vilnius. As I remember it costed over € 150.00 per "the cheapest" double room when I was there. OK, such hotels in say Paris, Berlin or Rome cost more. But... hmm... some locals have to live a month for that money.
Well, the hotel seemed to be good option for business maybe. I saw Russian speaking men in suits (businessmen ?) there. I would eventually spend a night there if my company would pay for it... Hmm... it didn't. I could only see old decor of the hotel hall.
Unique Quality: Good location in the heart of the old town. Astorija Bar and restaurant, indoor pool, fitness room, sauna, steam bath and jacuzzi, internet access in rooms. I got to know that the hotel was built in 1901 but comletely renovated in 1998, so the rooms should look nice.
