the old town is the place to stay if you are in vilnius as a tourist, this hotel is ok but it would have been more interesting to stay in the old town. bar on 22 floor has a great view of vilnius

Easy acess
It is a good hotel giving easy access to travelers. It has good restaurants, parking facilities and the room has a wonderful view of the Old Town. The price is reasonable. Its 1015 minute's walk to the center of the Old Ton. Its a good excercise range.

Good place
Stayed one night in this hotel. The lunchbuffet is really good. Breakfast ok, though nothing that special. The Skybar on the 22nd floor is really great, wonderful views. The room itself is ok, clean, not too large. Good but nothing to get excited about. Paid 85 Euros with Breakfast. Location is good, just across the river is the old town.

Skybar Restaurant at Reval Hotel Lietuva
Skybar restaurant located on the 22nd floor of the Reval Hotel Lietuva. It's a great place to enjoy nice views of downtown Vilnius and surrounding green areas while having some snack or a glass of beer! Hotel is located on the right bank of River Neris 5-8 minutes walk from the old town.
New area in Vilnius
New buildings are started to be constructed by the river Neris in Vilnius, the constructions caused lot of discussions in Vilnius as some architects think the modern buildings does not suit to the surroundings close to old town. The municipality has moved to one of them, different business companies have chosen another building. It is not seen on the picture, but there is a shopping center called Europa between the two grey buildings. This center is the best place to go shopping if you want to do it in the center of Vilnius, although you will not find souvenirs there, mostly clothes. The high white building is Reval Hotel Lietuva. Even if you do not stay there, go to the upper floor to Sky Bar and enjoy a nice panoramic view while having a drink.

Vilnius 19-20 June
Hi, I'll be in Vilnius on 19-20 June on a biz trip and got sufficient time to do some sightseeing, etc. Anyone some recommendations or alternatively anyone interested in meeting up and do some Vilnius sightseeing?

Hi,
I live 300 km away from Vilnius, so I can't join you. But my recomendation is just to walk in down town, taste beer in few places, visit shopping centers as Akropolis or Europa (Europa is close to down town).
You can climbe into Gediminas hill to look at Vilnius from the castle. Gediminas castle is a place where Vilnius started from. You will see Gediminas knight statue in the Cathedral squere near the hill. Gediminas was sleeping with his army on the hill and he saw a metal woolf in his dream. He decided, that it is a sign for him to build a city there ;-)

You can also vist TV tower restaurant Pauksciu takas for eating or just sigtseeing or SkyBar in Reval Hotel Lietuva. There is not place for eating, but only drinking and looking Vilnius from huge windows. From SkyBar you can see old town better than from TV tower.
