If you're interested you can go and see the military base on the top of the Herrenberg. It's the place where the Luxemburgish Army ( a very small one: with ca 600 soldiers, but very engaged in the NATO) has its mayor base. You cannot visit the base itself but once up to the hill you have a superb view on the whole Sûrevalley!
Diekirch, pequeña y pintoresca ciudad con 6000 habitantes, situada junto al río Sûre y rodeada de verdes colinas, es uno de esos lugares que atraen al turista por su sabor local. Tiene un barrio antiguo con zonas peatonales y atractivo comercio, cafés, plazas, todo lo que invita a disfrutar de una exquisita cerveza local.
Rodeada de hermosos paisajes, esta ciudad es ideal para arrendar una bicicleta o una canoa. El río Sûre es calmo y una excursión hasta Echternach es una excelente elección.
En la ciudad destacan el mayor museo de guerra del país, la mayor cervecería, mosaicos romanos y la Église Saint Laurent.
Diekirch is situated on the limit between Ösling and Gutland. It's a small town (ca 5000 residents) but it has something to offer to all the tourists. In Summer we have here in Diekirch more Belgian and Netherland residents than Luxembourgers!!
