Welcome
by LarsLous
Hello. Welcome to my Luxemburg site, a site about my home country's capital. I am glad to present you this town, and I definitly hope, you will visit my country one day. Luxemburg is the 5th smallest country in the world, but yet has much to show you. Luxembourg - city may not be as old as London, or as big as New York, but still... it has to offer magnificent vieuws, a whole bunch of history (which started in 963 with the founding of the fortress) and a lot of welcoming pubs, where you can relax and digest all the history. So, welcome to this page, feel free to wander around and enjoy. If you have more questions, feel free to contact me at lars@lars.lu maybe I can be of some assistance.
Kirchberg
by HORSCHECK
Kirchberg is a district of Luxembourg which is situated about 2,5 km north east of the city centre. Due to its location on a plateau it can be seen from far away.
The Kirchberg is home to many international banks as well as Euopean institutions including the European Court of Justice. Other remarkable buildings include the oval shaped Philamonie Luxembourg (2005) and the Museum of modern Art (Mudam, 2006).
Between all these buildings some modern sculptures can be seen.
Learning languages

I found that the Luxembourg people switch effortlessly from French to German to English to Luxembourgish.
Children from the age of six learn French and German. Then in high school they learn English.

There are really nice bars in downtown Luxembourg. If you walk through the pedestrain zone, it is hard to miss them.
The Digeridoo is a very nice club close to the trainstation. The Titanic model above the bar is quite impressive.
For those who like techno music, the Café du Gare is the place to be. Luxembourg is a very rich and wealthy place. People are generally dressed very good. Casual business is never wrong. But you won´t have a problem with other clothes in most of the locations.
