Nice location...lol

The best start for a visit is a good hotel.
Well Mercure hotels are always very nice.
Clean rooms , not too large , rather small.
But the price was quit low - weekendrate.
In ten minutes you can walk into the center.
It is almost opposite of the railwaystation.
So very easy to reach.. the hotel has a
garage , but we forgot to ask about it.
The neighboorhood is quit vivid.
A lot cheap restaurants , shifty nightclubs
and sex-shops. Who cares?
We didn't bother. We found it rather amuzing.

Hi.
I can recommend the Hotel Mercure Luxembourg Centre.
It has clean, comfortable rooms with good facilities, and is relatively cheap (82 euros per night for a single - not sure of the prices of other rooms). The price includes breakfast.
The hotel is on rue Joseph-Junck, immediately opposite the train station.

Pétrusse Valley and Place d’Armes

Take a walk in the Pétrusse Valley below the Adolphe and the Passerelle bridges, which forms a natural dividing line between the Upper Town and Plateau Bourbon. In beautiful weather it is good for body and soul. Sitting in a street café on Place d’Armes overlooking the pedestrian zone watching the people go by.
National Monument of Solidarity

Like any other nation, people of Luxembourg are very patriot and love their country and heroes of the nation. There are monuments every where for the people who died fighting for their country everywhere in the city. One which caught my eyes was National Monument of Solidarity.
Climbing

I forgot to take a photo, silly enough. But right by the city hostel runs the rail bridge. It's quite high. And right opposite the hostel, you can climb the pillars. I think this is a sports tip... :-)
