Ghallis Tower
by Diana75
Ghallis tower is one of the thirteen towers built by Grand Master de Redin between 1658 and 1659.
The tower stands above the shore just east of Ras il-Ghallis (Ghallis point).
The tower formed part of the chain of De Redin towers that allowed communication from Gozo to the Knights' base at Grand Harbour.
The Tower was restored between 1995 and November 1996.
Good Food & Simple Food
by steventilly about Chez Gaetane
We ate at Chez Gaetane twice while we were at Bugibba - partly because they did good food that we enjoyed and partly because they did simple food that our parents liked. I had a veggie risotto the first time and spring rolls the second time. Both meals were really nice, and very filling. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive (but not to the point of being intrusive) - probably the best we encountered (and we found almost all staff on the Island to be excellent).

Salt pans
by Diana75
Not really a tourist's attraction in the area, the salt pans in Salina Bay, at the entrace to the Qawra, are used for producing sea salt.
Malta's salt pans are a source of continued re-generation of salt deposits, a tradition that spans many centuries and it is still used today.
Bugibba
by Fiuman
Located in the North West of the island of Malta, sixteen kilometers from the capital city Valletta, Bugibba is a small town situated adjacent to Qawra and forming part of the local council of St. Paul's Bay.
With numerous hotels and restaurants working till the late in the night it is a popular resort among tourists.
In Bugibba there are no nice beaches so we leaved for excursions during the day but in the evening the town rises up and the streets are crowded with people.
