Buggiba Hotel: Basic Accomidations

Stayed at the Bugibba Hotel (aka Bugibba Holiday Complex) for two nights in a couple of two bedroom apartments. We had no significant complaint about the accomidations. They were basic, and in desperate need of updating, but everything was clean and worked. Our two bedroom apartments had four single beds, a reasonable bathroom, and a small kitchen (although we did not use the kitchen because of our short stay). All this for only 25 euro per apartment per night! The location was great, and was a short (under 5 minute) walk to the heart of the tourist restaurants and such in Bugibba.

This is not a destination resort, but if you are looking for basic, inexpensive, accomidations at a great location on Malta, I would not hesitate to recommend the Bugibba Hotel.

One of the best three star hotels around!

For a 3-star hotel you definitely cannot expect more. It is very clean, the service is very good, friendly receptionists, etc etc...
I stayed a couple of times in this hotel and for the price you pay you get much more.

Unique Quality: - the food is really good....very wide selection of foods....healthy and non-healthy food, to your desire...everything buffet, so you eat as much as you like! no, could not complain at all!
The rooms are quite big and comfortable.

Close to the centre of Bugibba

This is a big hotel with three swimming pools one indoors, about two bars two restaurants.

There is the main buffet restaurant and a smaller one that does a good range off a menu from pizza to steaks ect.
The food in the main restaurant was ok with a good choice.
The bed rooms were quite big with AC but were ready for a refurb they may have done it already? as it was about six years since my visit. also the bathroom was a good size.
This hotel also a some self catering apt also.

There was enterainment also with a big bar and reception area. Plus pool tables a tv room and more.

This hotel is close to the bus station and not far from the centre of Buggiba.

Unique Quality: It is close to the centre with quite a few bars and restaurants close buy.

A great place for a family holiday. Situated on the north-west coast of Malta, it's five mins walk from the sea-front and the local pick-up point for buses that will take you anywhere on the island.
There are bars, restaurants and entertainment on site and nearby and there are three pools - one indoor.

COMINO( The Blue Lagoon)

by chrissyalex

"Gorgeous!!!!"

I saw many pictures of the Blue Lagoon before I arrived there and it looked so pretty! Words and pictures can not decribe how gorgeous it is in reality! I loved this place! On the island, there were these little bushes with a few purple flowers still on them. I would have loved to have seen this island a few weeks earlier when all these flowers were in fullbloom!

"Cominotto"

If you swim across the Blue Lagoon from Comino, you will reach Cominotto,an even smaller island! This island has a small sandy beach and some caves. The swim across the lagoon is not that bad and although it is over your head in spots, it is not that deep either.

"The Water"

The water was so crystal clear, like glass!!!

"OCTOPUS"

A guy from the Captain Morgan's Boat caught an octopus.

"Lizards"

I saw these little lizards all over Comino.

"The Crystal Lagoon Caves"

Take a speed boat ride to the Crystal Lagoon to see the caves. I took the ride mainly to see the caves and they were very pretty, but I think the speed boat ride was the best part! It was wild! Felt like a rollercoaster! On the way back from the caves, the guy driving the boat cranked up the music, sped up the boat and then was dipping the boat from side to side....I almost thought the boat would tip over! It was sooooo much fun!

RE: blue lagoon

by Dick33

Hi if you are in Valletta you can get a 38 or 138 bus to the blue lagoon, from the bus stop it is a walk down hill you can stop for a drink and food or pay for the boat trip at the bottom, it is lovely and not expencive. Ian
