    As is always the case over the Maltese Island's tourism sector the people here were very friendly even though we were not tourists! The food is great and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.

    This is quite an unusual 4 star hotel, very rustic - almost like a giant typical maltese farmhouse. It has two wonderful swimming pools and a restaurant (open to non residents as well). A real bonus are the views from the balconies ... of typical Gozitan countryside.

    Razzett Ghasri was said to have been a small monastery, which is renovated and turned into 5 spacious holiday apartments. All have their private access, terrace and access to the common pool. The entire complex has the charm of a labyrinth and is entirely built of the local yellow sandstone blocks, as almost every building on Gozo.
    It is located just outside the tiny little town of Ghasri, overlooking the agricultural valley with the Mediterranean sea just visible in the distance.

    I've stayed in one of these lovely apartments which are situated a few metres away from the Xlendi Bay. They are very clean with a well equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom. The ground-floor apartment has a lovely patio which is ideal for enjoying the sun or sitting in the cool summer night breeze.

    We always enjoy staying at the Cornucopia. It has great views out over the bay of Marsalfon. The rooms are pleasant. The staff are helpful and it has two nice swimming pools.

    During the summer months the hotel runs a barbeque around the pool - it must be good because the locals come along and if you're half board it's included.

    St Patrick's Hotel is a great place to stay if you are visiting Gozo. It provides comfort, great food and service at a reasonable price.

    The hotel is situated just a few metres from the sea. Most of the rooms have great views and the restaurant is on the Promenade.

    Renting a villa in Gozo is by far the best way to have a holiday here. Most of them have pools and barbecues. They are usually old farmhouses which have been refurbished and they consequently are very roomy with several bedrooms, large kitchens and outside space

    The views are usually pretty superb

    This is a beautiful countryside hotel. It is built in an old farmhouse, has beautiful rooms, dining room, swimming pool, bar and restaurant.

    This is a nice 4 star hotel situated in Xaghra which has a splendid view all over Gozo. We stayed in one of the suite which was quite spacious with cable TV, hairdryer, telephone and a coffee table and armchairs. One drawback was the bath jacuzzi as it doesn't seem to be in use for quite a long time and so it wasn't very pleasant. Buffet Breakfast is included in the price. Price range is average. We had an enjoyable time in this hotel but didn't have anything special than other hotels.

    We rented a beautiful farmhouse named Il-Pepprina through the helpful folks at Xlendi Tourist Services. It was lovely to cook a simple meal, sit out in the fresh air on the terrace and listen to the gurgling fountain while chatting, eating and drinking. We’ll never stay in a hotel again when this sort of accommodation is on offer! Prices are quoted per property and vary according to the season and whether you want a swimming pool and/or a car. Rental includes transfers by taxi and ferry all the way from airport on Malta plus the services of a cleaner and the local rep.

    Il-Pepprina has one quad and one double bedroom (both en-suite) and a single bedroom. There is no pool but there is a fantastic walled terrace with flowers, fish pond, barbecue and fountain. Most nights I left the fountain on so its splashing filled the silence. The solitude can get to you, making you sensitive to the slightest noise, like a branch persistently tapping on the window or late-night church bells (it's directly behind the local church). You can also sit out on the rooftop terraces on a clear night to can take in the stars as the beacon from the nearby lighthouse rolls over you.

    We stayed in a flat, past Marsalforn, at a place called Qbajjar. It was big, clean, with all amenities and not expensive. The photo was taken from the balcony.
