Xlendi Bay.
by Maurizioago
Xlendi Bay is a small tourist resort on the south-west coast of Gozo. It is located only a couple of kilometers form Victoria.
My friend Anne (Xemx) took me to see the sea through the rocks. There is a flight of steps to get to some look out point.

1.) Buy a Map
2.) Every way goes through Victoria (main city)
3.) Rent a motor-cycle (not bigger than 50 or 80 ccm!)
4.) Visit the beach (i.e. intro-picture, west-coasts)
5.) Visit Xlendi Beach (lots of Cafés, Restaurants, Dive-Centres)
6.) Eat on the way before Xlendi at the mountain above at one of the good Italian family-flair restaurants with view of the moon, the stars, and the very large rock-wall on the other side °
7.) MUST: Visit the clubs 100 ft. under the italiana restaurants: So the same panorama and: outside Dancing! The beach You see is at Xlendi, You can climb the rock at the right side by normal footway, and the sight is really big! One beach further to the right side (You have to drive from Victoria another 'road') You see the stone-gates, one of them under water and one above...Really imposant nature, so divers make there night-dives in the caves out to the open sea...

Visit the place Xara - not far from it, in Ggantija, the Mnaidra Temples are situated. They are intered into the Guinness record book. They are considered to be the first constructions of religion on the Earth. They are 5500 years - older than the Egyptian pyramids. On Gozo there are plenty of hills with so-called 'cut away' summits. There is a version that those summits served as take-off and landing strips for aliens.

Visit Dwejra to see its three miracles: Fungus Rock (a rock where there grew a mushroom able to treat diseases of blood), Azure Window and Inland Sea (see the picture).
Come my next travelogue to know more about miracles of Dwejra.
