jo vella was saying our cards were not valid, but infact we went to the cash machine that was nearby and showed him a receipt to prove that 1. the card is vaid and works 2. that funds are available. but becuase he was trying to take out thousands for a security deposit, well thats what he called it, obviously it got declined. at no point was he going to show us the declined reciepts of the amounts, nor let us have them. he said because the cards were not valid, that we can not stay at the hotel unless we paid another 1625euros in cash. so we didnt.
