If you like crumbling plaster walls, the door handles coming off in your hand and rats in the nightclub then stay at this 4star establishment. Leave a Comment

We spent New Year here, and loved it almost as much as the Phonecia. It has the advantage of a sea location, and some rooms have massive balconies overlooking the Med. Most rooms overlook St Georges Bay. They have a fantastic swimming pool, but you will understand why we did not use it in January.

I stayed in the Corinthia San Gorge Hotel which is located in St. Julians. I was accompanied by my husband and my 2 and a half year old son. We found this a wonderful location for us as it was only a 5 minute walk to the little cove where my son could play in the sand and fish in the rock pools. However the hotel was at the top of a big hill - great on the way in to the centre of S. Julians but not so good on the way home! The hotel itself is 5 star and i feel it lives up to its star rating in every sence. The staff were very friendly and great with kids. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice of food available for every taste. There was a good choice of food for lunch also with 3 restaurants to choose from. I would highly rate this hotel but only for a relaxing holiday. Not the place to go if you want action!!
This hotel has its own private lido by the sea with wonderful views. Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: St Julians Bay, Malta

A good way to spend your time in Malta is to rent an apartment, depends on what youre after of course. Falcon Court are apartments situated in Bugibba, around St Pauls bay in the northwest of the island. they have one bedroom and kitchen and living area. The cost in November was just 140 euros for 4 nights. I didnt meet Olaf the owner but met his dad who was very friendly and very helpful. Its a 5min walk to the sea, and theres bars/restaurants nearby plus supermarkets for anything you may need.

The Hilton in Malta is probably the best 5 star accommodation I have ever stayed in. It's location, decor, food, staff, pool areas are all second to none. I can't rate this hotel highly enough. I holidayed here in June 2006 with my Husband and two kids (aged almost 2 & 5). We had a beautiful room with king size bed, single bed and cot and a large balcony area overlooking the Marina which we just loved, you could simply sit there for hours day or night watching the coming's and going's of people on their big yachts. The pool area was huge & superb and there was never a problem in getting sun beds or umbrellas. Pool staff were always at hand to put up umbrellas and hand out clean towels when needed. The service at the poolside bar was also exceptional. All staff exceeded our expectations and were fantastic with the kids also. Restaurants both in the hotel and adjacent to the hotel were also of a very high standard however I'll write about these under retaurant tips.
Fabulous views over Portomaso Marina. Pool areas huge and very clean. Hotel within walking distance of most amenities. i'd like to comment about the horizon apartments seeing that there's no feedback section on their website. I have just come from Gozo after spending a weekend there. While i cannot comment about the calmness which surrounds the apartment I can surely complain about the way we've been treated when we called to let the owners know that we didnt have any hot water. after being told that we were the ones to blame, no one came to check or at least called to see if we fixed the problem, leaving us for three days without hot water.just hot steam and plaster falling of the gyzer. Not to mention that on our departure day the owners came to chuck us out with the speed of light taking off the sheets on the bed when we still had our belongings. I do feel very disappointed even so cause this didnt happen with just our apartment but others who were staying in the different apartments complained about other things, such as the oven which didnt work, lights going out and all sorts of things which are unacceptable when we pay so much and in advance.as it is right now not a penny would be worth spending on such a rude and careless attitude. I really enjoyed the stay in the hostel. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was different every day and very tasty. The hostel itself is very clean and tasteful furnished. It lies close to the main street but it is calm in the night. The hostel owner picks you up from the ferry harbour in Mgarr. Leave a Comment
