Good sea view (at the time, it may have chanegd now). You can also use the facilities of the nearby St. George's complex ie swimming pools, gyms etc Theme: HotelDirections: The Hotel Burlington was in the Paceville area of St. Julian's and had a great sea view. However this was due to the fact that something had been demolished in front of it. Still, it was good, had lar

I highly recommend you to stay at Hotel Julian in St. Julian, Malta. St. Julian is where the restaurants, bars, and cafes are at night time. Valleta, Silemma and other cities operations closes at 7 pm, but it is the opposite for St. Julian. Hotel Julian is voted #2 in Tripadvisor also, and as a witness, I will tell you that it had all the qualities that I was looking for. It may not be like Hilton hotel, but the room is clean, new and nice. What makes it even better is the staff who are so friendly, professional, and helpful!!! The supermarket is a block away from the hotel, and the bus stop is right in front of you. What else could I have asked for!!! It is definitely two thumbs up!! When I booked this hotel, they had a special going and I paid $340 for 4nights, 5 days stay, breakfast included (good hot and cold breakfast) and airport transportation. This is a cute hotel next door to Alexandra Hotel. It is much smaller and for a few EUR more expensive but its still convenient as the owner is the same as for the restaurant "The Avenue" (see my other tips) and you can get discounts for staying in this hotel. I recommend this hotel a lot and if I would return here I would consider staying there. We mat some people who were staying in Alexandra and then moved to Hotel Valentina where they got a better service.

The villa was beautiful and had everything that we could possibly need from a swimming pool to washing machine to a tumble dryer. The maids came round once a week to clean the villa and the swimming pool and replace any towels or bedding. I would definately stay here again!!
All of the villas have their own swimming pools and balcony's with a barbeque for those summer nights. There are some amazing views to be seen. We stayed here for a week in May a couple of years ago. From the moment we arrived and made friends with the concierge our stay was a glorious experience. The Hotel is right at the entrance to Valletta. Of course, being a five star hotel, this experience does not come cheaply, but whenever we travel we use this as the standard to be achieved. A hotel may be good, but, we will often say, it is not the Phoenicia.
The sheer extravagance of the place, particulary the reception area, is breathtaking. Breakfast on the terrace is a great start to any day. Theme: HotelComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: The Mall, Floriana, Valletta, Malta

We stayed for a week a few years ago and now judge all accomodation by this standard. It has changed hands, and I haven't been back, but that week was by far and away the best hotel stay I have known.
Location, right outside the gates of Valletta. The staff, who were absoutely fantastic. The lounge area which was so colourful. And the terrace where we had breakfast! Oh and the breakfast itself. The room was OK too! Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Valletta

I absolutely loved this hotel.. although it was very basic. The staff could not do enough for us when we wanted help with things, they were so nice. The food from Cara's Cafe was lovely and very cheap... I was prone to eating too many toasted cheese and ham sandwiches from there. I would recommend this hotel to people because it's right in the middle of three areas in Malta. The only bad thing was trying to get up to the pool on the roof, the stairs were soo steep but regardless.. it was the best holiday that I have ever been on!!
One person stood out while we were on the holiday and that was our rep, Janika... she was so nice. The view from our balcony was amazing. We mostly swam in the sea and the water was so warm. I remember running away from this tiny lizard thing that I saw on the rocks... ewww. The Regency Plaza Hotel in Sliema is situated right on the seafront promenade of Tower Road .The Resort :Sliema and St Julians resort are Malta's main coastal resort towns and a heartland for shopping, entertainment and café life. Sliema is a key commercial and residential area with some of Malta's newest hotels and apartments. Tower Road is its 5Km promenade, full of shops, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, Internet cafes, and day cruise boats. The road continues north to St. Julians and Paceville and southward towards the Strand Gzira, Ta Xbiex , Msida and Valletta . Sliema, once a fishing town, began to develop in the early 20th century as small resort for wealthier Valletta residents. Their elegant villas and town houses line the quieter back streets. The sea front from Gzira to St Julian's, which offers first stunning views across to Valletta and then open horizons, is a popular meeting place and ideal for walkers and joggers.

Good location, turn one way out of the hotel and you are on the sliema sea front (1 min walk). Turn the other way and walk a few mins through the shopping area to the harbour for valletta ferry and buses. Jump on a bus and you can be almost anywhere on the island within 1/2 hr. This is not a luxury hotel so don't expect the fluffiest towels in the world and immaculate decor, but at £18 per night for a double room, ensuite bathroom & small balcony with sea view to the side, this is a good option.(breakfast included booked via venere.com) Room size was okay, not vast but had tea/coffee facilities, wardrobe, drawers etc. Room and bathroom very clean. Decor perhaps needs touching up. Some noise from building work near by in morning, but think you'd be lucky to escape that anywhere in a Malta resort at the minute, but it wasn't really a problem. Hotel facilities - friendly bar, nightly low key entertainment ie. movie night, quiz night, live music. Wi-Fi area, TV lounges etc. roof top sun terrace. (pool complex not open in winter) Food - Breakfast buffet help yourself from a good choice of fruit, cereal, pastries, rolls, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans etc etc. they fry eggs to order if required. I have to say this is one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in europe. Would definatley stay here again...
