Portomaso (ex Hilton) by Elly01 I have never been but I know people who stayed there and I never heard anyone grumble. Portomaso is one of the most top hotels there is in Malta. The complex surrounds a harbour where boat owners leave their boats. The place has its own restaurants, chocolate shop, cafeterias, bars, Japanese Restaurant and Malasysian Restaurant! It is a place where you find everything close to eachother. The hotel has 2 indoor pools and one has also a seaview of the harbour. The outside pool has many sports facilities. The most common is sailing as there are professional people who even teach you how to sail even if you are not a resident at the hotel ! The walk along the harbour at night is very peaceful !
The hotel has a very sophisticated theatre, and seaview from every part of the hotel ! Having a breakfast at Portomaso will keep you satisfied for all the day as they serve an impressive breakfast ! Hotel Valentina by Elly01 This small and compact hotel is situated in one of the side roads of Paceville just opposite Portomaso however its not in the middle of all the noise but at the same time it is 1 minute away from all the chaos of Paceville. Even though the rooms are very small however it is very clean and the service is very good. It seems this hotel is very popular amongst Italians as all my Italian friends who come to Malta in the past - all stayed there. The hotel is very central surrounded but many souvenir shops, a church, restaurants and supermarkets. The sea is just 2 mins away even though the beach is not a sandy one but it is a rocky beach but this place is very clean and nice to swim.
Don;t think the hotel has a pool as I guess its too small to have one unless it had one on the roof. It's a very clean place but small and cute ! However, its very central ! Don;t think its expensive ! The Vivaldi Hotel by Elly01 Vivaldi Hotel is situated just further up from the Westin Dragonara Hotel and the Casino as you can see its very central. Never stayed at the hotel but it seems to be a nice hotel.
I have no idea as I have not been there but I think it has a pool on the roof as the place does not have any gardens around it since its built in the center of Paceville and not at the edge besides the sea. However it has seaviews. On the roof there is al fresco restaurant for sure which is very romantic and nice. Radission Hotel by Elly01 Radission is situated at the end of Paceville but not in the noisy part but in a very quiet area actually it is close to Pembroke. It overlooks the sea and is adjacent to Corinthia San Gorg Hotel. It also has its own car park.
Great views, cafeteria, shops, restuarant, a 24 hour bistro, and also a bridge bar. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: Next to Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, PacevilleDirections: Upper part of Paceville - Pembroke

Sprachcafe Club Village by Elly01 Sprachcafe is situated in St.Andrews a small village further up from Paceville and St.Julians. Sprachcafe premises where once used as barracks for the soliders who were lodged here in Malta. Infact the premises are quite old even though they refurbished the whole village and brought it up to standard but the style of the buildings are different from the usual buildings in Malta. One can come and learn English also here.
On the premises one can find a restaurant, bar, and pool facilities. Theme: HostelComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Pembroke, St. Andrews/St.Julians

Corinthia San Gorg Hotel by Elly01 The hotel is situated at the end of Paceville, Pembroke area. This hotel is of high quality and had everything a person can dream of. I never stayed at the hotel but once I visited the hotel for day at its spa resort. It was very nice and relaxing. One thing which I don't like is that the hotel was built on area where once a tower stood and which could be seen by everyone. Today to be able to see this tower one has to be a resident at the hotel or visit the hotel for 1 day to use spa resort only !
The hotel has indoor/outdoor pools, great views, shops, cafeterias, restaurants. It also has a spa resort where one can go and make use of many relaxing packages ! Outside the hotel but on the premises one can make use of Hanks, Vinotech this place where one can have cheese platters and wine and other dishes. There is also an al fresco restaurant and also an ice-cream shop. by Eszter I really liked my stay at the Hilton in St. Julians. It's not just a nice building in itself, but it also has great swimming pools, a wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, and all the necessities you need for a memorable holiday.

Think Spain 1970's and you have the Alexandra Palace in one. Very good, clean and extremely friendly even if some of the showers and loos need an update. The breakfast is fab and you can always drink till the wee small hours in the bar.
Rooftop pool being updated at the moment; pool on ground floor is inside the hotel quadrangle and pretty shaded if you want to swim when it gets really hot; you can hire fridges, hairdryers, safe keys, irons and most things from the reception. THe3 staff are really great - family run hotel. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: St Julians BayDirections: Near the big posh casino in Paceville

The hotel is a little bit rusty. They have no excuse for the dirty rooms. Beautiful view to the sea and the center, but the spiders behind the cupboard were looking too strange to me to enjoy my nights there. Good services anyway. The breakfast can be improved but is acceptable. Anyway they cannot explain why so many stars on their front door. Do not use the phones. For two minutes with Romania I had to pay 12 euros. When I ask them why is so expensive they had recomended me to ask the price "before" using this service(!) I could not find in my room any information regarding this subject. So, as a conclusion, you will find there a good three stars hotel.
The view to sea is not bad. Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageDirections: Five minutes to Saint Julian
