Dean Hamlet. St. Julians.
Not very luxurious, but very cheap, especially outside the busy periods. Malta is best visited outside these busy months anyway, so you might as well save some money there. The rooms are big, especially the living area. We were on the top floor (3rd if I remember correctly) and as there was no elevator that meant dragging suitcases up there on arrival. But I'm not complaining. For the cost it was perfect. Only downside was that the bathroom was actually inside one of the bedrooms. That means that if you are with more than two people, people will have to cross one of the bedrooms to go to the bathroom... Oh well, minor glitch. The swimming pool was nice and the jacuzzi wasn't bad either. I do suppose that in the busy season they might be very crowded. June or September/October might be the best times to visit.

St. George's Park. St. Julians. This is a big complex. And be warned, it's in the middle of the Noisy Zone. That means that you'll be boomboxed out of your bed on Saturdays, that you'll be Technoed out of your bed on Fridays and that you'll be singing along to John Travolta on 70's nights. It's noisy, you can't hide, can't make it go away. So be prepared.
Rooms are spacious. Not as spacious as Dean Hamlet, but you've got enough room to leave your clothes scattered around and not be bothered about it. The pool is big too, but as I said, it's a big complex. They have a supermarket (well... minimarket) in the basement, they rent cars in the basement (you actually get to see the car you're renting, so that might save you from the inevitable Maruti!) and they have bars and stuff in the basement. It's a happening place, that basement. I'd say the balcony is nice. And did I say it can be noisy?
