These are very important especially if you need to change cash and the banks are closed. There are two of these in St Julians one in St Georges Road (see other tip on St Julians section) and this one which is situated in Paceville at the side of the Bank of Valletta and opposite 'Going Places' That you find everything here !
Band clubs are a feature of almost every Maltese town and city (and probably villages too). They're affiliated to the church and they have a procession through the town on Festa night, as well as playing for a few hours somewhere in the town in the lead-up to the firework display. There's a lot of pride associated with the bands.
The clubs are usually quite plain and simple affairs, nothing extravagant, and they offer a basic range of drinks and snacks and tourists are welcome too - there's no need to be any sort of club member. It's an insight into a side of Maltese life and we look out for the band club wherever we go.

Roulette Pub is a place where one can go and watch football and have a drink. It has a games room and one can also sit outside. Usually during the weekends its always packed with people ! The music is not bad ! Casual
This is one of the most popular cinemas in Malta however in my opinion it is very expensive as an adult pays about Lm2.75 to watch a film. At Eden Century there is Imax 3D films and Cinema 16 is a massive cinema where the screen is larger than usual. Casual
There are loads of places to eat around Spinola bay - it possibly has the highest concentration of great eating places on the island. They stand side by side and stacked 2 or 3 high, most with stunning views out over the bay. The choice ranges from French, Italian, Malaysian, Greek and so on. There's even a McDonalds and Pizza Hut here if you wnat something plain and cheap. I've never been disappointed anywhere.
