The Hilton of Malta is beautiful hotel located in St Julians. It must be one of the best Hotels I ever stayed in, with very nice room and facility. Not to mention, I got the Executive Room with a nice terrace plus a welcome drink, evening buffet and superior breakfast at the Executive Lounge.

The Hilton Malta is situated in an area undergoing major renovations. It is surrounded by the Hilton Conference Tower and the apartments in Portomaso. The entire area is beautiful. The rooms are very standard though live up to the Hilton name. I personally loved the hotel but it is very expensive and there are some other five star accomodations that are cheaper.
Unique Quality: The hotel boasts three outdoor pools and one indoor pool making it possible to go swimming ny time of the year. My room had an excellent view of the Portomaso marina. The hotel also has two indoor squash courts and most of the facilities are free of charge.

I really liked my stay at the Hilton in St. Julians. It's not just a nice building in itself, but it also has great swimming pools, a wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, and all the necessities you need for a memorable holiday.

The Hilton of Malta which is also the winner of the World Travel Awards was a great choice, it is beautiful hotel located in St Julians. It must be one of the best Hotels I ever stayed in, with very nice room and facility. The Hilton in Malta is probably the best 5 star accommodation I have ever stayed in. It's location, decor, food, staff, pool areas are all second to none. I can't rate this hotel highly enough.
I holidayed here in June 2006 with my Husband and two kids (aged almost 2 & 5). We had a beautiful room with king size bed, single bed and cot and a large balcony area overlooking the Marina which we just loved, you could simply sit there for hours day or night watching the coming's and going's of people on their big yachts.
The pool area was huge & superb and there was never a problem in getting sun beds or umbrellas.
Pool staff were always at hand to put up umbrellas and hand out clean towels when needed.
The service at the poolside bar was also exceptional. All staff exceeded our expectations and were fantastic with the kids also.
Restaurants both in the hotel and adjacent to the hotel were also of a very high standard however I'll write about these under retaurant tips. Fabulous views over Portomaso Marina. Pool areas huge and very clean. Hotel within walking distance of most amenities.
Hotel Hilton Malta is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever seen in Europe. Its large unique shaped swimming pool is amazing! This is a five star luxury hotel with sophisticated facilities. Kindly flip through our photos on the right to see its beautiful surroundings.
Among its superb amenities and facilities are large outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, meeting and conference facilities, car rental desk, high speed internet access, television, minibar, laundry services, several bar and restaurants, tennis courts, children playground, aerobic classes, squash court, steam bath, sauna, video conferencing, barber shop, beauty saloon, scuba diving, baby sitting service, parking facilities, foreign currency exchange, safe deposit box and casino next door. Superb location at Portomaso complex in St. Julians is its unique quality.
Visited this hotel in May and it is without a doubt the best on the Island. Service is faultless and the staff are genuinely friendly. Buffet breakfast is excellent with a huge choice and well presented. The pool area is huge even if the water was too cold to swim ! Rooms are really nice...5 star. The review from Cardiff is totally wrong, I am in the industry and have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world....the Hilton isnt a 6 star deluxe but it is worth its 5 star rating. Dont eat in the hotel in the evening, go to Spinola Bay, a 5 min walk....really good restaurants in a great setting.
We couldn't of made a better choice. We booked with Malta Direct and asked for a sea view which was magnificent. The staff are friendly and helpful.
The twin room we had was fine but would agree with the Cardiff review, the pillows were thin and we also heard what sounded like the furniture being re-arranged and constant footsteps in the room above us which was annoying.
We mostly ate in the hotel. The Thai restaurant was very nice and the Oceana restaurant was good. Breakfast was good too. Spinola Bay itself was nice but the meals we had in a couple of the restaurants weren't brilliant.
Malta is ok, but what made the holiday was the hotel!
A lack of effective management and organisation really affects this hotels' standing. Getting the right rooms on check-in took over 4 hours. The hotel is swamped by guests at the adjoining conference centre and who insist on using mobile phones to the annoyance of other guests who want a quiet time. No consideration for non-smokers: you can eat smoke-free indoors or amongst smokers outside (e.g. do you like cigar smoke at breakfast?) The lauded Thai restaurant is only passable. Some cleanliness issues. If there was a better hotel anywhere on Malta, we would have moved. On the plus side, the buffet reastaurant is probably the best we have ever encountered.
