"EU island getaway"
I am not keen on lengthy island stays but Malta was fabulous for a couple nights; great quality of life and rich history.
A nice holiday getaway.

Please can you give me the number of the bus leading us from Malta Airport to Saint Julians or Hotel Cavalieri Spinola Road? Where is the busstop at Airport and at St Julians. Thank you for your answer.
There is an airport> hotel shuttle service available, which willprobably be your best option:
http://www.maltairport.com/page.asp?p=17269&l=1
If not, you will find all Malta bus routes and info here:
http://www.atp.com.mt/atp/servlet/ControllerServlet?action=loadUserPage&userPageName=mainPage
Airport buses are listed here:
http://www.maltairport.com/page.asp?p=17162&l=1
You will find them outside Arrivals (swish new airport building at Malta Luqa!)
Malta buses mostly radiate to/from Valetta. So you will take the number 8 from the airport to Valetta bus station, then the number 62, 64, 65, 67 or 68 to St Julians.
I suggest you email the hotel directly to find out which bus stop is best:

Spinola Bay, the next bay after Ballutta Bay from Sliema direction, was the nicest bay we found in St Julians - beside which it was where our favoutrite restaurants and cafes were located :-0. Colourful boats in the harbour surrounded a lively square.
This is the road coming from the Msida roundabout going towards the San Gwann/St.Julians and Gzira roundabout. On this road at about 7.30 a.m. and even at about 5.00 p.m. in Winter there is always traffic or some accident so beware if you are passing through these roads at this time. On this road coming from the St. Julians direction there are two petrol stations one close to Regional road are of St Julians and one close to the Regional Road area close to Msida Roundabout. Please note that if you are on the regional road on the side going towards St.Julians -the next petrol station is long way futher up and infact you have to drive all the way up to St. Andrews as on that side of the road there is no petrol station and if your tank is close to empty you will end up stuck on the road !
This is a nightclub however usually there will also be live music. Here one can find great offers especially for beer. However be careful as it is very popular and is always packed with people. casual
Barracuda and Piccolo Padre occupy the same building - Barracuda is upstairs, Piccolo Padre down. Piccolo Padre is the cheaper of the two, being mainly a pizza place, and that's what we had when we came here.
There are tables inside and out, but the place to sit is, of course, on the outside terrace overlooking Balutta bay and across to St Julians. It's perfect and as night comes there are lights beneath the water that attract fish and give a nice ambience. Pizza, Pizza, Pizza
