Best budget hotel around - sshh! it's a secret!
Think Spain 1970's and you have the Alexandra Palace in one. Very good, clean and extremely friendly even if some of the showers and loos need an update. The breakfast is fab and you can always drink till the wee small hours in the bar.
Unique Quality: Rooftop pool being updated at the moment; pool on ground floor is inside the hotel quadrangle and pretty shaded if you want to swim when it gets really hot; you can hire fridges, hairdryers, safe keys, irons and most things from the reception. THe3 staff are really great - family run hotel.
