Preluna Hotel and Spa

Set back from the seafront and in amongst the ?real? streets of Sliema is The Church Of The Sacred Heart. This church had its festa while we were there and so we took a look inside. Maltese church interiors can vary from the spartan to the over-elaborate, but this one was just to my liking ? beautifully decorated without being over the top. Opposite the church is the Band Club (naturally) and we went in there for snacks of Pastizzi & Kinnie ? I think we were the only tourists in there ? and we sat out back in the open-air performance area that they have, a little oasis in this urban setting.
