Hello,
I wish to catch an overnight train from Chisinau to Kiev on the 16th May. Does anyone know if I can do this online, if not what is the best way to get the ticket?

the best way as I think to get the ticket is to
buy it from the train station.
the train nr' is [D 66SZ] dep' from Chisinau train station
at 23:10 and arr' to Kiev Pass train station at 12:45.

If you stay in Chisinau until May 17th, you can catch the once a week plane flying to Kyiv on Thursdays at 6:20pm. I'm sure you can book the ticket in advance.
Moldovans, throughout their history, have had to give up much but have managed to maintain strong family ties, traditions, a rich culture, and a love of beauty and the arts. As foreigners interact in business and social situations, they will come to know and enjoy warm Moldovan friendships.
As with anywhere in the world, Moldovans are pleased when foreigners make an attempt to speak their language rather than be expected to speak the foreigner's language.
Both Romanian and Russian are spoken here. And there seems to be a split in the culture on this. Don't insert yourself in their cultural differences. That said, both Russian and Romanian people were outstandingly nice. I enjoyed getting to know so many people.
If you have time enough take time for a walk to the Chisinau cemetery. It looks more like a nature reserve area than a graveyard and gives you an insight of the diversified history of a former Soviet country as well. Following Ismail street uphill you will find the entrance.
It has everything Kosher and/or Moldavian. This place is loaded! It is not too expensive and it has good prices. The dress is casual, but a little class is expected. It would be a good date place. THOUGH I have yet to take my girlfriend there. I would, though. I like everything... try the Moldavian food.
