The Prince's Palace. by planxty
Unfortunately, when I visited it was not possible to go into the Prince's Palace and State Apartments, to give them their full title. They are open every day from June to September from 0930 to 1800 and in October, from 1000 to 1700. Even from the outside though they are impressive, with the guards standing at the gate.Apparently it was built on the site of a fortress erected by the Genoese in 1215 (so my Internet research tells me!) It also tells me that admission is ?6 for adults and ?3 for children aged 8-14 and students. Surely a bargain in Monaco.
