Although not a real B&B, I think it is more a small guesthouse, it was a great experience staying a couple of nights in A gen Kirk. We found it on the internet and after reading a lot of very good (Dutch) reviews we made our reservation. Because it was almost a last minute booking we got a discount on the room price. The B&B is part of the ‘bike and ride café’ and that is exactly what people are doing in this part of the country. The four rooms are located in a separate building behind the café and a small patio. The rooms do have different themes like a ‘hunter room – with some not to well stuffed animals – a ‘royal room’, a Mary Servaas room’ with a lot of knick knacks and a ‘Marilyn Monroe room’. Due to a mistake with our reservation we did sleep in two different rooms – Hunter and Mary Servaas: one on the ground floor and the other night on a room on the first floor (accessible by rather steep stairs). Both were spacious; the one on the ground floor a little more, but the other one has an own little balcony with two chairs and a table. Rooms are basic, with a TV and fan, but are clean and could use a little bit more light in the evening, when one wants to read a book. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, soap and four towels. Beds were comfortable. From 8.30 am in the morning an excellent breakfast was waiting for us in the café. This is a very remarkable room with its more than 100 images of saints, bibles, holy crosses and other ‘holy stuff’. Your breakfast looks really like a 'holy breakfast'. (More info/pics about Vijlen)

Motel Mijdrecht by hopang Motel Mijdrecht is located approximately 6 kilometers west of A2 motorway, approximately 20 kilometers south of the city of Amsterdam. It is a very cosy motel with free parking facilities away from the bustling city of Amsterdam. The family room can accommodate up to four adults with bathroom/WC attached. There is a small reception in the motel complete with café cum restaurant for you to chill out. Nevertheless the amenities are quite basic! The motel is ideal for budget travellers and overnight motorists travelling across mainland Europe. After a night of stay in Amsterdam down-town, where smallest room you've ever seen you pay the fortune we decided to check what nearby hotels are available. Taking in mind that we had a car (which you had to park in Amsterdam for 40 Euro per night) it was reasonable to try hotels in suburbs. And we found one!!! The one in the resort area in the forest and twice cheaper than in Amsterdam.
Balcony facing the lake, pure silence of the surroundings, wild birds and animals. Just turn right in front of the big hotel on the road and get inside the forest. 1-1.5 km, cross the road under the bridge and soon you will see the hotel in the trees.Other Contact: alexanderru@mail.com

A nice spacious double bed room, with Philips LCD tv a electronic safe and wardrobes. A spacious bath with bath tub, shower and hand shower facilities. Extremely courteous and helpful staff, all at around 90 E per nite was a fab deal! This included breakfast as well. However do check on the rates as this may have been a corporate deal my husband got by way of working with ING in amsterdam. add tothis a free wireless internet service as well!
Shopping square right behind which has a flea market as well as supermarkets, boutiques, bakers, ATM's etc. Well connected by bus and trams as well. Cheaper if youre travelling on your own. If youre travelling with another or more unless the hostel has a twin or triple room for you then its probably better to compare whats available whereever youre wanting to stay with what hotel or bed and breakfasts are available.
