Hotel de Stee is a small hotel with only 12 rooms. The owners are extremely friendly and you will feel welcome instantly.
The rooms are decorated in a colour theme we stayed in one of the two green rooms.
The room was OK, enough space and the brightly green colour made it a special place. The only down side was the bathroom. It had all we could wish for, a shower and a toilet. But the strange thing was that the toilet was behind the shower. You had to cross the showerarea before getting to the toilet. (Slippery when wet)
Breakfast is served in buffetstyle, just your normal continental breakfast.
There is a loungearea downstairs where you can order a drink or a small snack. There is no real restaurant in the hotel. Diner is served on a 'eat what is served' bases at six o'clock. You need to make reservations for that.
The hotel has its own tearoom. The old english style of the tearoom is unique and brings you back to the days that tea was a luxury drink. You can have a 'high tea' here, or choose a lighter variation like a biscuit tea. They also serve some sandwiches for a light lunch.
The hotel is also extremely pet friendly, during the weekend we stayed here, there were two couples with a german sheppard staying in the hotel.
A nice friendly hotel for those who want to explore the surroundings of Odoorn by walking or cycling. Not very luxurious, but a good price / quality rate.
