Almere lies no longer with its back to Amsterdam and has got a central point in the north-wing of the Randstad.Its a knowledge centre with many highgraded office locations.
Meanwhile the ICT sector from the 21rst century has been folowed up by new technologies,which bring along unprecedented speeds and ways of communication.On a concentrated way is this found in Almere,drawn by the developing innovation urban perpective.That consists somewhatqu out of the combination of traditional alities,such as living environment of the Gooi and the urban culture of Amsterdam and on the other hand from the new qualities like centres for 'business creation by sense and personality'. Almere is expanding beside and in the water.

Different sports can be practiced up here such as tennis,squash,billiards also it is used for other things such as dancing.You can rent rooms and lots more.Its a multifunctional sports centre with 3 bars and lots of thngs to enjoy,such as watching people play inddor football.

"Almere,city at the water"

Only 20 years ago they started with making the plans for the centre of the city,Almere.Beside water and a dialling code there was absolutely nothing!
It is unbelievable to think that the first spade was put in the ground in 1984.

Over 13 years later,and the moment is there,to destroy the very first houses and shops again and to further develop the present day centre into a real town..*S*....at last.

With a population of around 150.000 at the moment,this time is developing new buildings,more businneses,more projects....

They try it over and over again to a
ctually make arrangements for enjoyable cultural and recrative facilities.......and yeah i must say there some very nice things to see and to do as well....a 2/3 trip is a recommending....lol

Watersportlovers will have the time of their live at the beautifull Dutch lakes(meer or plas= lake) like the Gooi- and the IJmeer, de Noorderplassen, het Weerwater en de Leeghwaterplas.
Also for the ones who love the sun and nature Almere has a lot to offer.
If you prefer walking or cycling: many recreation-areas like the "Lepelaarplassen", the "Kromslootpark" and the "Waterlandse Bos".
The "Almeerderzand and the "Zilverstrand" are ideal for beachlovers.

Almere is the quickest growing city of the Netherlands, only 15 min. from Amsterdam.
