Stortemelk: Campground in the dunes
Campground Stortemelk, September 2014. Shop, restaurant, play ground, good toilet and shower facilities. We rented a so called 'huiftent' with a fridge and cooking utensils, carpet, dustbin, real beds, metal frame couch, table with four chairs, front porch with wooden bench &c. Right in the middle of the dunes and very close to the North Sea.
The campground is accessible by bike or public transport, bus leaves and arrives several times per day. Or upon arrival by ferry you can walk and have your luggage brought to and from the campground by horse cart (no cars allowed on Vlieland!).

Stuurboord: Keep to the right
We stayed a long weekend in this comfortable little house. It has clearly been renovated, has a well equipped kitchen with even a small dishwasher. The two small bedrooms are cosy, there is a small diner table and the bath room even has a small bath. The house has two terraces and is close to the sea.
Compact house, perfect for two to four persons.

Duinfluiter: Lovely cottage
The house we stayed in was an attached cottage. We were lucky to have the sunny side, so we could enjoy the sun whenever it was there.
Near the beach and with the woods just across the road. Which was great for there were 2 dogs traveling with us.

Self catering houses
Vlieland have a lot of self catering cottages (vakantiehuisjes).
We was in the seal cottage, verry nice and close to the sea (just over the dune).
The price was 300 Euro for a week, in November.
