Visit National Park 'de Hoge Veluwe' and the Kroller Muller National Gallery (see my Apeldoorn page).
If you don't want to pay to get in to the park, just rent a bike and follow one of the many signed out bike-tracks.
A lonely helmet , we must remember.

During the advance on the bridge Lt Col Frost commanded his battalion with great initiative and skill and by considerable enemy forces had been outflanked and the northern end of the bridge captured together with sixty prisoners. All attempts to capture the southern end of the bridge failed. The bridge itself was covered by fire from the south bank of the river while the railway bridge further downstream was blown before Lt Col Frost could get a company across.
Heavy Fighting on the Bridge.

Despite no re-supply of ammunition and food, this force, under the commanding officer and inspiring leadership continued to fight magnificently; very heavy casualties were inflicted on the enemy, and many tanks, S.P. guns and half track vehicles were destroyed.
Special Guests in Arnhem: Nathalie_B
by Pavlik_NL
Around the same time as the visit of Lunatique in Arnhem I met Nathalie_B in Breda. It was such good fun and a few weeks later I got a call at work from Nathalie, in which she told me that she just got a study-project about Arnhem and asking if I could start doing her homework (-: Well, of course, I could! The weekend she visited together with her schoolmate Laura and we walked through town. Hopefully next time we can throw in a bit of night-life as well, Nathalie ...
Trolleybusses
by elPierro
Arnhem is the only city in the Netherlands where you can find trolleybusses. For those who don't know the concept. A trolleybus is a combination of a tram and a bus. Basically it's just an electric bus, getting its power from powerlines above the road. Making them not very flexible but environmental friendly as there is no diesel exhaust.
