Stayokay Arnhem

I stayed for two days in this Hostel in 2008 and could find only two flaws: The price and the location. The Hotel is some distance away from the city center on a slope. To get to the center, you need to go down the stairs of that slope to catch your bus. It is possible to walk from the train station, but surely not comfortable. The price is above average for a Dutch hostel, but it's worth its price. The staff is really great, the hostel is clean and the atmosphere very friendly, suitable for all kind of people. If you don't mind the two things I mentioned above, I would recommend this place for your trip to Arnhem.

Unique Quality: The staff was very friendly and the bar indeed a great place to met all kinds of travellers. Old and young, Dutch and non-Dutch were at the bar chatting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Bike rental, ironing and several other services you do not get from a normal hostel were available. Oh yes, and breakfast is free too.

Directions: Take bus 3 to the hospital (Rijnstate ziekenhuis), then follow the signs to the stairs. Take the stairs and do NOT follow the ROADsigns unless you have a car.
