The history of the VSM
In 1975 the VSM (Veluwsche Stoom Maatschappij = Veluwe Steam Society) was an initiatif of volunteers that saw the use of the old railway between "Dieren" and "Apeldoorn". Their love for historical train loc's, but also all other equipment, made it possible that today here is a museum of antique railroad machinery of which a part is kept even running in summer season and spring holidays (Easter, Ascension and Whitsuntide). A trip with the VSM steam trains is an ideal way of spending the day with the family. An adventure for both kids as well as parents. Ilja gazing at the huge steam locomotives from TV, suddenly being there ... alive and all.
