The small guest house at Klein Hees gives you something which most hotels fail at. Privacy. Klein Hees and its guest house (Bakehouse) is a restored farm house which is now owned by a very energic and cheerful dutch woman called Netty. Netty and her family live in the farmhouse, complete with Sheep and Chickens clucking around all make the area really friendly and great for kids.
The Bakehouse itself is a quaint house sleeping up to four people. A small upstairs with two beds, and a pull out sofa downstairs means that its suitable for a small family, although there is space for a cot if there is a small one.. The bakehouse has a small ensuite bathroom with shower, a small kitchen with a gas cooker (and microwave) meaning that cooking can be done while on holiday. There is a small patio meaning that meals can be taken outside or inside on the dining table. It is also decorated in a tasteful traditional way.
Tv is also there, with a number of channels in dutch, german, french and in english (including the disney channel for kids) so it suits most peoples tastes. The great thing about dutch channels is that most they usually only put subtitles so there is none of the annoying dubbing which happens so often in other countries.
There are a number of big supermarkets in the area, Albert Hijn is just up the street and there is a Lidl by the Ede-Wageningen train station.
There is also good bus connections. The Bus 2 and the bus 85 run very close to the house making it easily accessable for those using public transport. :)
I found the animals in the area really nice. There are four resident sheep, a lot of chickens, cats which adore attention and a couple of dachound dogs which also love attention. The smaller one in particular loves giving doggy kisses if you let her.
