Hotel Atlanta, a excellent choice to stay by Pavlik_NL This hotel offers you a stay within the centre of Nijmegen. It is situated on the Old market square, almost opposit from the "Waag". Hotel Atlanta offers good service for a reasonable price and deserves for sure it's three stars. In front of the door one finds many cosy terraces, so until late one can enjoy the stay in Nijmegen.

We stayed at Umberto's Hotel Restaurant in Njmegen. Actually it is in Wijchen which is a short drive out of Nijmegen. Umberto's is in a quiet location (ask for a room away from the road though) and very comfortable. They have free high speed internet access, and are cheaper than other Nijmegen hotels. There is a restaurant, whichw as good but expensive - but there are several other restaurants and cafes across the road. We also found some pleasant walks towards Nijmegen, and out into the countryside around. You need to drive into Nojmegen (unless you have a bike) but the savings make it worthwhile. I'd especially recommend this to business travellers as a cheaper hotel than usual in the area.
Nijmegen hotels are expensive and tend to charge extra for high speed internet access. Umberto's was cheaper, and had high speed internet free. The rooms are much larger than the nearest alternative (the Bastion, whose rooms are really small). It is also near a clusyter of restaurants and cafes so it is easy to find cheap meals.

 | Hotel Courage: Pretty Much Perfect

This little hotel is quite simply flawless. The location, down by the river, is only minutes from the city centre. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have all the basics expected of a mid-market accomodation. Reception is friendly, helpful, informal and nothing is a problem. Breakfast is the usual buffet but with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, breads and beverages - pretty much everything apart from Champagne (tho' I'm sure that you could get a bottle if you asked). Next door to the hotel is the Velorama bicycle museum, to which guests get free entry, and in addition the hotel itself has a rack of bikes for hire.
It is the simple things that make a place outstanding and here all the simple things are done perfectly. For example: on my second day I had intended to hire a bike and maybe cycle over the border to Kleve. Unfortunately the weather was really miserable and so I decided instead to spend the afternoon downstairs in the well-appointed little bar (strange but true!) and catch up on my Utrecht page. I needed to plug my laptop into a power socket and an extension lead was duly found (and BTW the freebie WiFi was excellent). My coffee was kept topped up until it became beer time and then that too replenished as necessary - "Things to Do" on a rainy day! One other little thing, though I reckon it really should be in "Warnings and Dangers", is that the shower pressure is pretty damn powerful and so make sure you have the shower head held firmly as you release the taps - my first shower doubled up as a carpet shampoo as the shower head leapt from the holder. I liked this hotel and the leggy receptionist too ;P Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Waalkade 108-112, Nijmegen, 6511 XR, nlPhone: 024 360 4970Directions: To get to the hotel from the railway station it is about 15 minutes walk, go into the town centre then down to the river and the hotel is tucked away in the corner just before the bridge.Website: www.hotelcourage.nl Other Contact: www.hotels.nl/nijmegen

I spent one month here, while organizing long-term accommodation, and was treated like a member of the family. I was the first guest in the newly renovated building, so I was probably a little spoiled. Roy, who runs the Prince also runs the restaurant De Amuse three or four doors down from the B&B. This is where you have breakfast and, in the evenings, is one of the best restaurants in the City. And for us geeks, the best thing is it has Wifi internet access. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are clean and decently furnished.
De Prince is located on Lange Hezelstraat, the oldest shopping street in Holland smack in the centre of the old part of the city and the next street up from the river front.
