"De Zanding": Almost natural campsite
One gotta love it or hate it ... camp site "De Zanding" is enormous in my eyes. However, it is a very nice campsite, with wide lanes, cosy camp places and fields one can park his (or her) camper.
This campsite is named after the sand-drift that accumulated here.
In the thirties long time unemployed were forced to work here and their job was to dig a lake. Kept them off the street and we now can enjoy the water in the holes those people have dug.
Almost pure nature, the way this campsite is designed to fit in. Seems they made the plan of this campsite around any tree the terrain has, it s almost natural.

Camping "De Zanding": Best campground on the "Veluwe"
Just South of Otterlo there's a realy great camping that is built next to the "zandverstuiving" that has given it's name to the camping as well as a wonderful lake. The combination of sand and water is not only atrtactive for children, but as well for adults. Added the beautiful foresty surroundings and many biking and walking paths, makes this place the best the "Veluwe" has to offer.
