Saint Anthony, very popular in Limburg
Orginally they started building in the 13th century, but today ther is not much left of this period. During the ages they made the church bigger to suit more people. So you can saythe church was built between 13th and 19th century.
A great bike tour is Limburg Mooiste (the most beautifull of Limburg). It will take you to some great climbs in Limburgs hills.
The start is in Landgraaf, but Valkenburg (only 20 minutes by car) is a great place to sleep, and to please your non cycling partner.
The tour is once a year, the 2004 edition was at the 5th of June. Tom chose to ride the 150 km (you can go for 100 or 250 km too) and Gonnie stayed in Valkenburg, with only a 5km walk to take a picture of Tom passing in IJzeren, a small village closeby.
As said in the previous tip there is also a herd of oxes (scottish highlanders) here. They do come across the water and sometimes block your way on the footpath.
This highlanders also are here to keep the grass short and make the reserve as natural as possible again.
Great location on top of the Cauberg hill. Relax in the sauna, steambath and many more.
There are big swimming pools (take you're bathing clothes with you, or you have to buy one there!!!).
And you can take place in the program. We did the relaxation program (lie down in the water, listen to relaxing music and watch colourful lights on the ceiling) and the wellness programm (jogging and sport in the water).
The honey rubbing in was also a great experience.

In Valkenburg they have a great simple place for children. Fairytale land Valkenburg offers for the youngest among us a nice combination of attractions. Fairytales is the keyword here and one steps from one to another in this small park that offers a good afternoon's entertainment. In an attempt to keep up with the "Efteling" and "Disney" they added few spectacular attractions too. A waterslide and a ship might be able to satisfied the teenagers a little, but it keeps being a park for 10 years old and under.
