A fairy-tale like hotel with standard and family rooms and tower and 16 theme suites.
Check-in was wonderful. Kids got gifts - bags with hotel cards and a small game (in Dutch), but since they are so small that cannot read anyway, it didn'd matter. It is the though that counts. We also got map of Efteling amusement park.
We stayed in a family room - the only bad side was that it smelled very strongly for smoke. We asked to change the room, but unfortunaltely there were no non-smoking rooms left :( Room itself was quite spaceous. Bathroom as well as the room were clean. Children could reach the wash-basin with an extra shelf beneath the basin.
When booking arrangements - dinner and breakfast - in advance it really costs much less. As en "extra bonud" our children (1 and 3) got free three course dinner as well as breakfast! Food was very good and portions were big. Next to the restaurant is a play-room and play-ground outside - so children had difficulties with eating. Buffet breakfast was very good and rich as well.
A pre-booked day ticket to Efteling amusement park gives hotel guest the right to enter the park 15 minutes before opening from a separate gate - this is probably especially benefitial during the high season. As an extra bonus and making it easier to shop and make you to spend your money easier, all your shoppings will be delivered to the hotel from the amusement park shops on your request ;)
Free parking for hotel guests.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone - big or small - together with arrangements.
Note! If you prefer non-smoking room, do not forget to mention it while making the reservation! Children facilities are excellent - indoor play-room, outside play-ground. Safe - fences are everywhere so children cannot get lost. In the morning there is a special small entrertainment for children in Dutch. Although our children enjoyed it as well.
