on November 15, 2007The Hotel was exceptionally welcoming and the staff actually encouraged myself and partner to take a smoking room to "enjoy the Amsterdam experience".
A bit sad I know - but having stayed here on Business too, the TV showed English news chanels.
Although it looks quite a distance from the city centre on a map, with Amsterdam being a walkers paradise, it only takes 30 minutes or so to reach Leidseplein. So you can have a good night out and stroll back to the hotel.
The location is supurb - much nicer than the hustle and bustle of the city centre. There are grocery shops, bakeries, tabaconists and cafe's locally.
