We took a double bed here, the service was good. Breakfast came complimentary and was adequate. With its wireless internet I was linked to VT all the time and so made my daily itinerary plans with ease :)
Unique Quality: The hotel is located next to a market square and shopping center, where you can feel the typical atmosphere of multicultural Amsterdam. The neighborhood Bos en Lommer is a residential area.
It appears that this hotel is well situated, centrally. Is it within walking distance to a Canal Bus "hop on, hop off" bus stop? Thanks
When looking at a map, it looks like you are outside the main part of Amsterdam---it would be a nice little walk to get to the main canals, but doable if you like walking!
look at it on Bestwestern.com and click on the interactive map feature---
Thank you ! Could you suggest what I'd "search for" to find a hotel close to the canals?? The HRS is an awesome hotel booking website and has a good search enging. Is there an actual name of the canals, or of a different small town?? I like BW's as I have a membership for airmile points.
I would suggest looking at some of our tips under Amsterdam/Hotels and look for an area you want to stay---there are areas near the museums, near city center, the Jordaan----My latest thing for staying there is renting a houseboat on one of the canals...Tethered to the road so no rocking! They are lots of fun sitting on the deck and waving to the tourists who think you are a native! We have some real expert natives at VT who also have great tips---browse a little through them and see what you might like!
