The place I like most in... by Globies
The place I like most in Amsterdam is the Albert Cuyp market. It's a general market where you can go to get your groceries but also to get specials bargains. Not any out of the ordinary market really but since I've lived in the area for most of my life this is a place I always like to go to. Just strolling along the stands and have a look in the shops behind the stands is just a fun thing to do. Like to go best on weekdays, not so busy as Saturday.The best things about Amsterdam are the beautiful old buildings that show the history of the city and the new architecture that shows its future. The city is a 'historical map' that you read best if you walk through it. When I've been away this is what I miss most, walking through the city.
