Seems a reasonable hotel at 5 minutes walking distance from the city center (city hall + RLD).
A room at the street side may be noisy, because the hotel is located at the main street leading to the tunnel to the North side of town.

ATLC is right about youth hostels.
I met an american kid, who mentioned, 80 euros for 3 nights at youth hostels in amsterdam.

hi there. Just a slight adjustment to the last poster's comment:
hostels are not youth hostels. They used to be, but they are for all ages these days.
