Hotel Beethoven

The rooms here are supurb, I have stayed on two occasions and had large double rooms overlooking the main road. Large living room with table and chairs, double bed and an average size bathroom.

Unique Quality: The Hotel was exceptionally welcoming and the staff actually encouraged myself and partner to take a smoking room to "enjoy the Amsterdam experience".

A bit sad I know - but having stayed here on Business too, the TV showed English news chanels.

Although it looks quite a distance from the city centre on a map, with Amsterdam being a walkers paradise, it only takes 30 minutes or so to reach Leidseplein. So you can have a good night out and stroll back to the hotel.

The location is supurb - much nicer than the hustle and bustle of the city centre. There are grocery shops, bakeries, tabaconists and cafe's locally.

3 star above resaurant

booked single room by phone. On arrival was shown to small atic room with cieling window only.the toilet was almost impossible to get into it was so small. Complained and was told I would be moved tomorrow to a better room. This happened but the toilet was not much bigger than the original one!!! The room was 135 glds. Breakfast was buffet in the restaurant and not bad.

Unique Quality: Very central, corner of Dam Sq and Damssraat, just round corner from Krasnapolsky Hotel.

Hands down the only place I'll stay in Amsterdam!

(Looks like the hotel is a Ramada owned Hotel now...)

This hotel was about a 10-minute tram ride from Damn Square. However, this trip was my 4th trip so I was ready to branch out and see how the locals lived and played. Best decision I ever made I’ll tell you. The hotel was darling, and the location was supposed to be in the ritzy part of town. Right next-door was a bakery, next to that, a drugs store, next to that a grocery store. Perfect!

The front desk gal was a kick in the pants! One day I asked her: “How’s it going?” to that she replied: “The bad are always doing good.” Ha!

My room had 24hr porn.

I called this trip, “The Vacation of 9 baths.” The tub was about 6 feet long, 2 feet deep and had hot water all the time. Every day I would smoke a joint and take a loooong bath.

Remember to buy your tram tickets at the grocery store. (SEE TRANSPORTATION)
