Not a bad place
Hotel Annemarie is not a big backpacker hangout but a small hotel catering for you basic needs - a bed, a clean shower and a breakfast. And that in a perfect location!
Staff are very friendly, the cat as well expecially if you give him some cheese! Rooms are quite cramped, with a sink, some with shower and toilet and balcony. Nothing really for a long stay but okay for 1 or 2 nights.
Breakfast is included in the price with tea/ coffee, orange juice, bread and jam, peanut butter and nutella. and cheese on Mondays.
There's not much of a big nightlife in the area but some smaller bars/ pubs where you can have a quick beer.
Unique Quality: The location of the hostel is great! Situated in a quiet street next to the Concert Gebouw you walk only a minute to the tram stop, a huge supermarket and the Museumplein, a short walk to the museums, Vondelpark and Leidseplein.
Tram 5 takes you directly to/ from the main train station.
