Hotel Atlanta
Very friendly staff!
Lively location, looks out over a park, which has loud lively bars and clubs all around it.
There is a flashing advertising board 24-7, and beeping road sweepers from first light, not good if you are a light sleeper, but if you can cope with that its fantastic.
Very central only about 5 tram stops from the train station, if you fly into Schiphol the best way to get to the centre is by train.
As with all buildings in Amsterdam there stairs were insainly steep though I seem to remember a chair lift to reception and there were rooms on that floor.
The decor is slightly dated, but it is clean, and the rooms have kettles with well stocked tea and coffee powdered milk etc.
Breakfast was €7 when we were there last year, you have to be down on time, but its an all you can eat kind of affair,
cereals, yogurt, tinned fruit salad, tea, coffee, juice, milk, and then there's bread which they will toast for you, and sliced cheese, ham, salami, and boiled eggs, though its pot luck if you get a runny one!
We have been there twice and really enjoyed our stay there both times, and we would go back.
